Eligibility Criteria

WHO CAN APPLY TO THE PROGRAM?

The HHR Program is open to residents of Finney County who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligibility Criteria for All Applicants:

  • Applicant's primary residence is in Finney County.
  • Applicant's household income has been reduced as a reduced as a result of COVID-19 (layoff, reduction of hours, business closed, required to quarantine, caring for school-aged children, etc) or has experienced a large, unexpected medical cost related to COVID-19, now resulting in a gap in income.
  • Applicant's landlord or property manager or martgage company agrees to participate it the Program, as no direct payments will be made to the Applicant. All payments made on behalf of the applicant will be paid directly to the vendors.

Applicants who applied to the Household Relief Grant Program in 2020 are eligible to apply again. Applicants who continue to meet eligibility criteria may receive additional funding if awarded in 2020.

WHAT ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE UNDER THIS PROGRAM

Rental or Mortgage Assistance

Utility Assistance

Applicants may apply for funding to cover:
  • Up to 4 months of full payment for arrers on rent or mortgage payments
  • 2 months of partial funding for current and future rent or mortgage payments
  • The Program will cover the difference between the Applicant's "rent burden" for the months that they apply for assistance
Applicants may apply for funding to cover:
  • Up to 4 months of utility arrears (including: nautral gas, electricity, water, sewage and internet)
  • 2 month of utility assistance for future payments
