Friday, September 26, 2014
3-5:00 p.m.Check in at the Holiday Inn Express- 2502 E. Kansas Ave 620-275-5900. the staff from the Finney County Convention and Visitors Bureau will meet you there and welcome you to Garden City
6:00 p.m. Pilot Briefing- Holiday Inn Express meeting room followed by Reception for pilots and sponsors. Pizza and drinks will be provided for the evening event.

6:00 a.m. Breakfast — At launch site for pilots and crew
6:45 a.m. Opening ceremony - color guard and National Anthem and Prayer
7:00 a.m. Balloon launch — First flight of the weekend. The American Flag will fly with the first balloon. All pilots can launch following the flag.
Set up for Car Show begins
9:00 a.m. Southwest Riverless Festival- Events begin at the Fairgrounds
Gun Show starts 9am- 6 pm in the Exhibition Bldg.-Gymnastics Demos.
Food Vendors Open

Show Stopper Kite Displays
Lewis 4 on 4 Basketball Tournament-Lee Richardson Zoo Courts
10:00 a.m. Swap Meet starts and runs until 7 pm
11:00 a.m. BBQ Contest
12 noon Car & Bike Show begins and runs until 7 pm
1:00 p.m. Gauntlet Obstacle Course race- Riverbed
1:00 p. m. Beer Garden Opens and remains open until 10 pm
Guitar Lick Contest takes place on concert stage
4:00 p. m. Bad Boyz Boxing Exhibition- West Pavilion- $10 adult/$5 senior or students
5:00 p.m. Dinner- Dinner will be provided for pilots and crew at the VIP Tent at the Fairgrounds
6:00 p. m. OCW Wrestling 6 pm-8pm
Bouncy Houses open
6:30 p.m. Evening Balloon flight- Second flight of the weekend if some balloonist want to
8:00 p.m. Balloon Glow - at the launch site and Southwest Riverless Festival concludes with a free concert feature The Benders

10:00 a.m. Gun Show in Exhibition Bldg. begins and ends at 3 pm
Lewis 4 on 4 Basketball Tournament continues at Lee Richardson Zoo courts
10:00 a.m. Awards Brunch- Immediately following the morning flight for pilots / crew will be held at Sammy's Spirits & Steakhouse in the Clarion Inn
The sky around Garden City Kansas will once again be filled with colorful balloons as the Southwest Riverless Festival & Balloon Classic kicks off on September 26, 27, & 28. The Finney County Fairgrounds will serve as the launching site for all flights. Festivities will kick off with a Friday evening launch and continue with early morning launches on Saturday and Sunday morning along with numerous events all day Saturday. This fun filled weekend is sure to entertain and dazzle spectators from near and far.
