[ARCHIVED] Public Works Requests Qualifications from Consultants

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

To perform scheduled bridge inspections on all Finney County bridges and calculate bridge load ratings for all bridges.

The Finney County Commissioners and the Department of Public Works are seeking qualified consulting firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications for Engineering Services to complete the proposed work generally described in the Scope of Work. The Statement of Qualifications shall include the firm name and address, summary of projects completed, references related to the Scope of Services, and a list of qualified personnel. Seven copies of the qualifications shall be submitted to the Finney County Public Works Director at 101 W. Maple Street, Garden City, Kansas 67846, no later than 5 pm on Friday, August 21, 2009. A review committee to review qualifications and select firms to interview will be appointed by the Finney County Board of Commissioners. The contract for services will propose that the completion date will be for October 30, 2009. Scope of Work

Bridge Inspections

The scope of work for the bridge inspections will closely follow the criteria in the attached “Local Bridge Inspection Contract Scope of Services” developed by KDOT.

Bridge Load Ratings

Calculate the load rating for each of the County’s bridges. Each bridge shall have its own individual calculations for insertion in the bridge file.
