[ARCHIVED] Big Lowe Road North of US-50 Closed for Construction

The next phases of construction on the US-50 four-lane project call for closing Big Lowe Road north of US-50. The Kansas Department of Transportation expects the contractor to be ready to close the road just north of Holcomb Scraper, Inc., by Monday, October 26. Once closed, construction crews will work on the intersection of Big Lowe Road and what’s designated as Road 600L, which will eventually serve as the access road to properties on the north side of US-50, west of Big Lowe Road.
During this phase, Big Lowe Road will remain open at the intersection of US-50 for access to the south and to Holcomb Scraper and Acosta Homes on the north side of US-50.
Once the intersection and the new access road are completed all traffic on Big Lowe Road north of the highway will be detoured onto the access road and Big Lowe will be closed completely north of US-50 and remain closed until the US-50/Big Lowe interchange is finished.
If you have questions on this project, you may contact Craig Schlott, Construction Engineer, at 620-276-3241 or Gary Bennett, Area Engineer, at 620-384-7821.
