Preserving the Past to Enlighten the Future

The Finney County Historical Society's Museum provides a look into the spirit of Southwest Kansas, both past and present, by featuring long-term revolving exhibits displayed in the museum year-round. A visit to the museum is a rewarding and enjoyable experience for all ages. 

The museum also offers educational and entertaining experiences through community events, educational tours, and extensive research facilities.

Exhibit Hours

Summer hours begin the Tuesday after Memorial Day and last until USD 457 starts school in August. 

Spring, Fall, and Winter hours begin when USD 457 school starts in August and last until the Tuesday after Memorial Day. 

Office hours are year-round.

Admission 

Admission is free but donations are accepted and appreciated. 

Donated funds help maintain and improve the museum and its exhibits.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Finney County Historical Society is able to do what they do because of its large group of volunteers. Volunteers are involved in all areas, from research and care of artifacts to education, tours, and community workshops.
