In Buffalo Grass

General Treatment Info

  • Bindweed in buffalo grass may be treated with the herbicide 75% Quinclorac (Drive 75DF)
  • Use 1/3 ounce by weight per 1,000 square feet on actively growing bindweed
  • Use 1/2 ounce MSO (methylated seed oil) per gallon of water with the quinclorac
  • Keep the solution agitated by shaking the sprayer often during application
  • Quinclorac may also be applied at, before, or after seeding of new buffalo grass to actively growing bindweed
  • 2,4-D Amine can damage buffalo grass severely, especially when the grass is first greening up good in the spring; 2,4-D Amine can be used on buffalo grass after the grass has made hard seed in summer, but some damage may still occur
