Bindweed in buffalo grass may be treated with the herbicide 75% Quinclorac (Drive 75DF)
Use 1/3 ounce by weight per 1,000 square feet on actively growing bindweed
Use 1/2 ounce MSO (methylated seed oil) per gallon of water with the quinclorac
Keep the solution agitated by shaking the sprayer often during application
Quinclorac may also be applied at, before, or after seeding of new buffalo grass to actively growing bindweed
2,4-D Amine can damage buffalo grass severely, especially when the grass is first greening up good in the spring; 2,4-D Amine can be used on buffalo grass after the grass has made hard seed in summer, but some damage may still occur
