2021 Election Information
Post Election Audit Information
The post-election audit will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Finney County Election Office located at 311 N. 9th Street, Garden City, Kansas. Races and precincts to be audited will be selected randomly at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3 at the same location.

Canvass Information
The Board of County Canvassers will convene for the canvass of election results on Monday, November 8, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. in the Commission Chambers within the Finney County Administrative Center, 311 N. 9th Street, Garden City.

REFERENDUM / QUESTION SUBMITTED
November 2, 2021 Local General Election
Shall the following be adopted?
Shall the city of Garden City, Kansas (the “City”) levy a retailers’ sales tax in the amount of 3/20th of one percent (0.15%) to take effect on January 1, 2022 (after expiration on December 31, 2021 of an existing 0.15% retailers’ sales tax levied in Finney County, Kansas by the Horsethief Reservoir Benefit District), with such tax to be levied for 15 years from the date it is first levied, with revenues of such tax to be allocated to general purposes of the City, including but not limited to: (1) improvements to the Garden City Regional Airport terminal and airport infrastructure; (2) improvements to City parks, recreation facilities, sidewalks and trails; (3) ad valorem tax relief; and (4) all things related and necessary to such purposes, including payment of obligations of the City issued to finance such purposes, all pursuant to K.S.A. 12-187 et seq., as amended?

Shall Finney County, Kansas levy a retailers’ sales tax in the amount of .25%, to take effect July 1, 2022, to be levied on retail sales consummated within the County for a period of 15 years, with revenues of such tax used within the County to finance: (i) improvements to infrastructure; (ii) to pay obligations of the County issued to finance such purposes; and (iii) to stabilize the Property Tax Mill Levy, all pursuant to K.S.A. 12-187 et seq., as amended?
